  19. Question: What amiga/OS are u running? Are you using 3rd party sw to control
  20. your CD-ROM on the amiga side or the dosdriver from OS31 itself?

  22. On my A4/040 running OS31, i updated the tool types in the CD0 dosdriver to
  23. have empscsi.device as the DEVICE and the correct unit of the CDROM,
  24. but, even after reinserting the cd and issuing a diskchange CD0: (which
  25. yields no errors), I get no icon on the WB, and when i try to cd to CD0:,
  26. i get 'No Disk present in Device CD0:'. And, yes, the CD0: is in
  27. DEVS:DosDrivers, and activate is set to 2 (or 1) and default tool is
  28. C:Mount, and Im not running any Mac emulation.

  30. My kickstart is v40.70, which i 'heard' has a bug relating to using CDROMS,
  31. but Im not sure if thats true, or if its for v40.68, or if it only pertains
  32. to use of CDROMS -with- the built in scsi.device.

  39. Well, As a matter of fact, there is a small old 52 meg Quantum drive on the
  40. scsi chain which is a dedicated mac drive and the only one at that. Its
  41. internal and terminated. With that drive, on the Mac side, Ive had WIERD
  42. problems.

  44. I used SCSI Director 4.3 to prep and format it, which seemed fine, but,
  45. whenever any program tries to open up a color wheel, it asks me to insert the
  46. harddrive, as if its been ejected, and then i have to force the app to quit.
  47. Ive found that taking out the color picker extension solves the problem but
  48. i dont see why i should have to do that. I have another mac partition on one
  49. of my amiga hardrives (on the built in IDE controller).
  50. Its formatted the same way,
  51. MacOS 7.5.1 (mac sw 5.5), and it functions perfectly, with the extension in
  52. place. Im now going to try silverlining on the Quantum and redo the drive, and
  53. see if that makes a difference.
